The Valor Econômico report highlights the growing consolidation in the restaurant and bar sector in Brazil, driven by large transactions and the formation of robust groups.
Alife Nino is a notable example, controlling 17 brands such as Boteco Boa Praça and Nino Cucina. The group expects to have a turnover of R$1 billion by 2025 and is planning an IPO. Growing at R$40 billion per year, Alife has made important transactions, including the merger with Famiglia Nino (which gave rise to the Alife Nino group) and the purchase of the Irajá group. These transactions reflect the aim of making the sector more professional and efficient.
Despite the emergence of large groups, the Brazilian restaurant and bar market is still quite fragmented, offering significant opportunities for investors interested in inorganic growth through strategic acquisitions.
The Volt Partners team has experience in the bar and restaurant sector, advising clients on M&A transactions.
